Former timber and glass-making village, originated in first half ov 18th century. Together with Zadov, Churáňov forms a highly popular winter sports centre with downhill-routes, ski lifts and excelet skiing grounds. The surroundings in very suitable for cross-country skiing trips. The chair funicular goes from Zadov to the top of mountain Churáňov. There is a beautiful view to neighbouring peaks, mainly to Popelní mountain or Valy.
